✶The Honest Version
Finding work is not our problem. Getting it built is.
We have more signed work than we have people to run it, and that is the whole
reason this posting exists. The ceiling on this role is set by how much you can
carry, not by a pay band somebody wrote down.
If you are the kind of PM who has been capped by a company that could not feed
you enough work, this is the opposite problem.
✶What You Would Actually Do
Run your jobs start to finish. Walk your sites. Line up subs, hold them to the
scope, and hold them to the schedule. Keep the client informed before they have to
ask you for an update. Document the work in CompanyCam as it happens. Catch the
problem at framing instead of at the walkthrough.
The client relationship is the job.
Our reviews say we answer the phone and we over-deliver. That reputation lives or
dies with whoever is running the job, and that would be you.
✶What We Bring
Dominic Watler, our founder, is your direct line. He is not a manager checking
your hours. He is a builder with the field knowledge to help you solve the thing at
seven in the morning and the standing to clear a roadblock the same day. His job is
making you successful. That is not a line on a job post, it is how this company
runs.
A fuel card. Windshield time is on us.
Systems built for the field, not for an office. We run CompanyCam and JobTread,
and we are constantly rebuilding both so the paperwork gets out of your way instead
of piling on top of your day. You will mostly live in CompanyCam.
No set schedule. No micromanaging. Nobody bird-dogging you. Do the work, keep
your jobs and your clients in good shape, and how you run your week is yours.
✶The Pay
$85,000 to $140,000
Realistic annual range ✶ 10% of hard cost
This is a 1099 independent contractor position, paid on commission at 10% of
hard cost on the jobs you run. Fees are earned as your job draws, so you get paid
alongside the work instead of waiting on a closeout months out.
Realistic range for a PM carrying a normal load of concurrent jobs is $85,000
to $140,000 a year. Take on more work and that number moves. No base salary, no
hourly, and no benefits. This is contractor work, and it is the right fit for
somebody who would rather be paid on output than on hours.
✶Who We Are Looking For
Real construction knowledge
You have been on jobsites long enough to know when a sub is telling you what
you want to hear. Residential remodel, outdoor living, concrete, or general
contracting backgrounds all fit.
Experience managing subcontractors
Scheduling them, holding them to scope, catching bad work before the client
does, and keeping a trade partner relationship healthy while you do it.
Strong with clients
Clear communication, quick responses, and the judgment to know what a homeowner
needs to hear and when.
Comfortable with technology
Phone-based apps, photo documentation, digital scopes and schedules. You do not
need to be technical. You do need to be willing.
Grit
This is a job for somebody who wants to build something, not somebody looking
for a seat. There is real room here to grow as the company grows.
The basics
Valid driver license, reliable truck or vehicle, and the ability to be on
jobsites across Central Texas.
